Does 100Hz really make a difference on the new LCDs?
« on: 27 November 2008, 02:41:06 PM »
Hi, I am interested in the Panasonic TX-37LZD81 but it's only a 50Hz TV.  Having seen it in the shops, the text scrolling on news tickers and credits looks really smooth to me.  It's hard to see any difference between this and one with 100Hz.

I wasn't able to compare fast sports as there was nothing showing, but based on the text scrolling the LZD81 looked the same as the LZD85 (which has the 100 Hz).

What do people think?  Is it worth holding out for the next LCD freesat model that may come with 100Hz, or does it really not make any difference with the latest LCDs?

Thanks.
