Happened across a Sony upscaling HD video DVD recorder at a reasonable price.
If you want to 'sit on the fence' and wait while blu-ray and HD sort themselves out, but want a cheap upscaling decent HDMI capable player, you really could do a lot worse than the Sony RDR-GX350 I picked up from Argos at a penny shy of £130.
Blue Planet looks absolutely stunning on it when paired with the Sony KDL32D3000
It has to be a 'no brainer', surely?
