Toshiba 37X3030D 4:3 stuck on with sky
« on: 04 August 2007, 02:17:09 PM »
PLEASE HELP..............

I recently purchased the Toshiba 37X3030D TV and after setting it up all appeared fine........THEN........... I fed a SKY signal through it. It defaults to a 4:3 pic with black bars on the left and right of the screen and won't let me change it. DVD is fine and lets me stretch or zoom the pic but SKY refuses to do it. I know it's not the SKY box because on my older SONY CRT allows me to stretch the pic on sky. I have phoned toshiba and they say it is the sky box........I phoned SKY and they say it is the TV.........AGGGHHHH.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

                                                    Danny.

I don't have sky but I do have the tv you have (good choice, by the way! I love mine!) and if I want to stretch a 4:3 pic I select Super Live 2 from the choices given by the aspect ratio button (the bottom left, below the red button. Says subtitle underneath it) and it stretches the pic to fill the screen (I use it when playing Halo 1 cos it's only a 4:3 signal)

Try that and let me know what happens!!  ;D
