I hold in high esteem your own reviews, which I believe are the most accurate and reliable from all over the internet.
However as a former ProGamer (PC platform) are very interested in input lag, full chroma resolution and improved edge defeat.
In particular I would like to know how it was measured the value of 16ms indicated in the review.
This is the result of a 'single detection? Or is the average of a sequence?
I was curious because all the internet references speak of 30ms (2 frames) VS Crt.
Can I assume that even in PC mode can offer this very good performance?
Finally, PC mode will be affected by the same problems of sharpness highlighted by your review in game mode?
Thank

Thanks for your kind words. We usually measure input lag in averages (say, take 10 measurements, then report the average or most common figure) rather than a single snapshot.

I haven't tested the VL863 personally, but will see if David can chime in.

Warmest regards
Vincent

Hi Theleta,
What Vincent said - I seem to remember in this case that 16ms is the value that kept being returned rather than being an average.

Hmmm... that's trickier. I seem to remember that the Game mode and the PC mode returned different measurements.

I don't believe that the PC mode suffered from the forced edge enhancement.

Also a thanks to you for yours accurate and relevant answers
Some brands offer a semplified  setting called  Game-Mode! so their marketing can say ....We offer the game mode!!
But the same result can be achieved by disabling image enhancement options on isf profile
Other brands reserve to GAME-MODE, fewer bits of color, lightening the load on the CPU.
This however can  results in the presence of banding
Assuming that both image mode and pc games granted the same image options, it may be that the Game-Mode on VL863  is also acting on  bit color processing.
This can explain different input lag from PC-Mode and GAME-Mode!

I hope however that Toshiba take seriously your advice about the possibility of leaving the user the ability to use or not a image enhancement
Thank
