SPVA panel in 42Z3030D but not 47Z3030D?
« on: 02 January 2008, 11:32:56 AM »
I'm planning on getting a 42Z3030D, and since there are no reviews for that particular model i thought the review for the 47Z3030D will have to do. Looking at the review the set seems pretty great, but i was concerned by the fact that the reviewer said the TV has no SPVA technology, giving the TV only above average blacks. But when i read the news article preview of the 42Z3030D in IFA 2007, it said it would "sport an SPVA panel".

So i'm abit confused and was wondering if anyone could help clear this up.

P.S i'm kinda new to the whole technology side of HDTV's, but i have some intermediate-level knowledge.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I was wrong in the IFA 2007 report (I was going by what was stated on the information board beside the 42Z3030D). Currently for the Z3030D series, all screens of size 47-inch and below do not use SPVA panels.

Warmest regards
