Lc 46xl2e motion judder or i am i just an idiot?
« on: 09 January 2008, 09:15:41 PM »
Hi,

I have just got the sharp lc46xl2e and have been impressed with the picture detail from film and games. Though one problem with the gaming, some of the fast motion vertical break up lines appear and in the tiger woods 2008 when panning over the view of a hole the motion seems to be a bit juddery. I have tried to the best of my limited knowledge to fiddle with the settings but to no real joy. Any one have any idea's to correct this if possible? or is it perhaps a fault with my set?

Many thanks
Tom

Ps i am using a ps3 with HDMI, i set to highest res.

Update

I spoke to sharp tech and they said to turn my PS3 to 50 HZ instead of 60 HZ, does any one know if this would work? and how to do it on the PS3?

Many Thanks

tom

Hello mate

I dont think its your screen. I have the same one and have no problems with this

What it is is the games, the PS3 does have tearing in some games, i dont own tiger woods but can say that uncharted has this tearing too.

Hi Bojirman

As apoc_reg rightly stated, the tearing can originate from the PS3 games themselves. Have you tried disabling [100Hz] and [Film Mode] to see if there's any difference?

Warmest regards
Vincent
