SAMSUNG Input lag measuring suggestions
« on: 07 August 2010, 12:39:20 PM »

Hello everyone :)

I wanna start by saying I love this site and the way you guys measure input lag on your reviews for gamers.

So, I noticed during my reading of your SAMSUNG TVs reviews, that you measures lag depending on [Game mode] only, that isn't enough. By default (on many models) [Game Mode] actually enable [Edge Enhancement] and [Dynamic Contrast] and some models enables even more "Enhancing", which as I know, plays a big rule in adding to input lag...

so I suggest in future reviews maybe you could enable [Game Mode] AND manually disable any unnecessary "Enhancing" added by the TV (some models might prevent you from doing this in [Game Mode], appreciated if this also mentioned in the review)

and also like this http://forums.hdtvtest.co.uk/index.php/topic,796.0.html thread suggested, SD lag also matter for SD console gamers.
Thank you for reading :)

Hi nbnt,

Don't worry - when we calibrate the TV, even in Game Mode, we disable any of these shenanigans :)
