effort to get Laservue TV in UK
« on: 30 July 2010, 11:09:11 AM »
hi all,

i'm new to this forum, and i have a bug in me for TVs or display unit and this bug is active and pushing me to get a good display unit,

i was looking on few technologies, like LEDs, Plasma and even Laser.

now from my basic research i found that LED is just marely a back light and nothing to do with the actual performance of the TV though local deeming works well and brioghtness can give a good performances with it. but the actual colour depends on processors, same way the plasma is.

but laser is a pure colour source and requires no colour mixers and can creat far better colours.

it is really shame that we can not get this technology in UK, i was in touch with Mitsubishi and few retailers in USA for this, and i been suggested that the if i can gather the number of people who might be interested in this technology then the retailer can arrange international warrenty for us all, which applies anywhere in the world.

but was just wondering that anyone here has even seen this TV in working condition or interested in such technology.

Mitsubishi UK told me that they dont deal in consumer electronics anymore but if we raise numbers i think they will consider it. i'm thinking to write a letter to head office of Mitsubishi Japan, Mitsubishi USA & Mitsubishi UK.

Pelase let me know what you guys think about this.

Regards

Kedar

Hi Kedar

Did you receive any response from Mitsubishi?

We'd love to review a Laservue HDTV, but I'm afraid due to perceived low demand in the UK it's unlikely it will make its way over here.

Warmest regards
Vincent
