running in your tv ?
« on: 02 March 2008, 08:56:49 PM »
Hi i finally brought the Panasonic TH-37PX70BA and i am very impressed, however browsing some other forums someone posted about how you need to run your TV in to prevent screen burn and to get the best out of your set, someone else posted that this is not really necessary, i have never heard of this before so i just set the set to some of the recommended "run in" settings, cinema mode, warm temp and 50% or less for the brightness etc settings..

is this information correct or should i just use a THX set up on one of my DVDs (i dont have the glasses mind) and just enjoy the great picture it produces? :)

Hi

We have an article on plasma screenburn prevention, worth having a read.

Warmest regards
Vincent

When performing the burn in using DVE does it matter what resolution the DVD player is set for. i.e on my Panasonic TH37PX80 do I configure the DVD for 720p rather then 1080i or upscaled 1080p??
