Do you think this is the case? I think Kuro may be left unbeaten until OLED-displays finally take over the market. Plasma technology is improving, but prices and restrictions are too.
I wouldn't be surprised if we move to OLED with Pioneer's black levels not being beaten.

But, this year I was surprised to see Panasonic's 0.09 cd/m2 blacks on their cheaper displays, so never say never.

Oh how i cannot wait for oled 55+  :D.
It will be the killer of all other tech.
Black levels being a perfect 0ftl.
Light output easy hitting 40+ftl.
Such a wide spectrum of colour range that the human eye cannot pick up on every shade they can produce.
All for the perfect sum of around £6k if rumors are found to be true.

We'll need a new video standard before the huge colour capabilities are useful, of course!

I'm sure it will have some sort of subtle motion artefact or other that gets discussed, though...

The price is quite killing, too. :P
And forums will be discussing topics on "White OLED vs RGB OLED" and "whose blue stays longer". ;D

KRP is probably overall more accurate (although I doubt the difference is big enough to be really visible) and should have slightly better black level.

VT50 is cleaner with less panel generated noise.

Is something bothering you about the KRP that makes you want to get rid of it?
