I would love to get some hands on time with this set.
The VT30s light output was far too low and my gut feeling is telling me this will be the same. For a 8k panel and for its purpose it shouldnt be, the light out put should be high enough for lightened rooms.
I do hope I'm wrong.
As with what the B man has said Panasonics panels have a habit of changing every XXX amount of hours. This year consumer range have shifts around 500hrs, where the blacks start to rise to near the out the box setting but with so many timed shifts would that make a calibration pointless?
Will the same apply to the VX300?
Only time and 8k will tell
I thought i read somewhere recently (god knows where) that this years Pannys actually improved on black level whilst the samsungs with some dodge F/W got worse ??, I know i have seen a slight increase in mll on my 6900 after the last F/W.
CNET have shown over the first 500hrs the blacks levels on this years pannys get deeper. Then after 500hrs it rises again to near out the box levels I havent checked back in awhile to see how things are but I predict a slight drop again.
The Samsungs have shown they rise in mll but can be correctly calibrated back down to near out the box settings.
