hello, could some one please help me save my TV, i changed white balance settings in the service menu cause i run the hdmi calibration - i re-calibrated the TV but have no record of the WB setting, so my picture has bad colors
could some one check whats the default settings in the service menu

i would really appreciate help!

PS: Don't go to service menu!!!

That is the Danger of Dabbling in the SM, I hope David can assist you here, It maybe that you will need to find the correct Calibration pattern so your TV reckognizes it. After the HDMi self calibration did you get the 'Fail' or 'Success; indcation ?

i found a tutorial howto re-calibrate the D5000 series i got the opened it with my STB and ran the HDMI self calibration and got Success!!! also i ran the calibration on my PC input while it was calibrated so i got error))  its a difrent source it has its own setting - havent recalibrated the PC input yet...

by the way my tv is UE32D5000

Hi! Thank you very much for the settings! This TV was a present for my birthday and another one was a PS3 system. I followed the settings in the OP's post and even if the picture looks much better now, it is still too dark for gaming. Sometimes I have trouble seeing things in darker areas.

Turning off LED Motion Plus helps a lot, but brings a certain amount of blur to the picture (and in gaming it's simply unacceptable).

Is there any way to raise brightness of the screen without turning LED Motion Plus off and at the same time not to ruin the perfect setup?

Hello, Vasya the Cat! ;)
You should check if Full RGB is enabled on your PS3. It may be the casue of 'black crush' effect. Setting RGB level to Limited may help, although I believe Samsung is capable of displaying Full RGB with the right TV settings. It has HDMI Black Level option somewhere in the menu.
PDP in the coffee... Did you see that, Zach? Clear as a crisp spring morning!

Thanks for the reply, FoxHounder!

You're a genius, sir!

I do have RGB Full set to on in my PS3, I did have the problem with darker areas. But now, following your advice, I went to Picture Options and set HDMI Black Level from Low to Normal and now it's nearly perfect!!! Although I'm far from being an expert in this field. So it looks like for gaming this is the correct setup:

Everything according to the guidelines in the first post of this thread + /Picture Options/HDMI Black Level => 'Normal'

And on PS3:
/Display Options/RGB => 'Full'

Does it look right technically speaking? Does anything else need tweaking here? Since blacks are not really deep blacks now, they are a bit "greyish", lighter than the pure black blackness.
