Dear All,  thanks for all your help and advice.

We made it into a test room in London, and I am afraid that my OH just couldn't get on with the active glasses, but in those conditions I must say that I found them fine.

Therefore I have ordered the LG 42LW550T from John Lewis for £650 with 5 year guarantee.

I now need to get a blu-ray player and 5.1 to complement it, so I suppose I had better post that request elsewhere?
