Faulty sample or not?

Wow that backlight bleed looked horrid.
And the contrast ratio is less than lass year! I thought image quality was ment to get better with future gens. Maybe too much money spent on pointless 'extras' than build quality is to blame.

Other site works for me as Im awesome  :P

Specs are very similar, I wonder if there is a few errors in the listing though. 3 HDMI cables and no headphone socket  :o Wonder why they have had the step down?
Also I think filter wise they have the info the wrong way round.

My thoughts...wait for a review.  :P

All looks a bit ameteurish doesn't it  ::), I just been on the Comet website and zoomed in on the Back panel Pic of the E6500. Looks like only 3 hdmi and one of them along with Antenna in and optical are facing Rearward not all down the side or facing down  ??? :o. Looks like a veiwing in the Flesh will be the order of the day  :D

I've had the "You must have reviewed a broken TV" thing a couple of times. Most notably when we revealed the 3D resolution limitation on a "Full HD" LCD last year.

It was later discovered that ALL of that model had the fault and we were just the first to notice.

The fact is, manufacturers just don't send faulty samples out. I look forward to seeing one for myself, but that's not a good sign...

Just seen this from Value Electronics, remembering these are the NA models but it does look good for the Sammy's:

"We just had an in-house mini-review of the ST50, GT50, and the E8000. These beautiful panels calibrate beautiful and look very similar pre and post calibration"

I might be seeing ES8000, ES7500 and E8000 tomorrow at Samsung office. I won't be able to do any measurements as I don't have equipment or much skills (better leave that to David and other professionals), but still I'll use some test material for critical viewing.
Any suggestions what to look for?
