Expansion Of Multimedia part of the reviews

Hello,

Two things:-

1. I appreciate that this far down the list of things within a normal review and is more a nice to have, however it is one area that the manufacturers are very hard to pin down in their support.

A lot of the TV's are coming with multimedia playback (USB/LAN), but it's often an area that's mentioned as a feature but very hard to get any concrete information. Very much along the lines of Tick, we support some files but really does depend on the time of day as to what level.

Because all of the major TV releases pass over the desk of this website, so to speak. It would be really nice to see a file type break, of what support each manufacturers manages e.g. ISO, MKV, M2TS, AVI (etc), with/without internal, external subtitle support. Over the LAN, from the USB drive? What happens when you fast forward, skip forward, does the sound lose synch. How well does the device view DLNA devices on the network.

I know it's not the primary concern, but as a tabulated break down, it would be useful. I appreciate that you can buy a stand alone device, however if manufacturers realised that people were keeping an eye on it, they would improve support.

2. Screen size, when a manufacturer says 50", is that 50" visable.

As always thanks for the work.
