2012 Shootout & Live Feed.

Anyone interested? 2012 Shootout is happening on the weekend 19-20th of May in the US with all the major players Manufacturers, Calibrators, David Mackenzie being one of them.
 I will post times, live links etc shortly, where you can post your questions.

 Displays in the evaluation:
Plasma models, PanasonicTC-P65VT50, Samsung PN64E8000, LG 60PM9700 LCD/LED models, Panasonic TC-L55WT50, Samsung UN60ES8000, Elite PRO-60X5FD, LG 60LM9600, and possibly Toshiba's new Cinema 55L7200 and Sony's XBR-65HX929.
 
Plus one or possibly even two surprise displays!

Cheers mate, will be watching like last time although it went on till pretty late. Really interested to see how the Panny and Samsungs compare since we've had no reviews on the Es8000 yet.

ps: was about to reply to your thread in the other place but it seems to have disappeared. Anyways, signed up here instead :)

Less than a week now before I fly out of Glasgow -> Heathrow -> JFK to help with the setup and calibration. Better start packing...

Thanks David, I'm sure it'll be fun. Think there might be some long hours though, might want to carry some refreshments  ;D.

Personally, I'm getting my D8000 delivered tomorrow, overwhelming feeling is more one of relief at having finally made up my mind. Can't wait to start tinkering though.

By the way, thanks for the post with the pre & post calibration pics at BB. It'll help me explain the next purchase (colorimeter) to the missus.

Hope you have a great trip and please thank Robert from all of us for hosting the event.

I am very interested to know your opinion about US Panasonic and their " panel brightnes" setting.
And also it will be fantastic to see Us and Eu calibrators working togheter!
