Hi
I presently have a Sony Bravia 32V2000 HDTV (1080i ) and watching football via the Skyplus HD box. The 32" is a bit small for the room and also 5-6 years old. I would like advice on purchasing the best HDTV in sizes 40 or 42 ,46 max...... The most important aspect to be picture quality for watching football . I dont think i wish to go down the 3D route. Would your recommendations be a vast increase in picture quality compared to my present 32v2000 bravia. Thanks Keppy |

David Hohnen is the man behind Cape Mentelle. He planted the first vineyards in 1970, which makes him one of the Margaret River pioneers. The success of this venture led him to found Cloudy Bay in New Zealand’s Marlborough region in 1985. In 1990 Veuve Clicquot acquired 50% of the business, and then in 2000 they took 100% ownership. In 2002 the present owners, LVMH, bought Veuve Cliquot, and with it Cape Mentelle. The spot, just 5 km from the ocean, was chosen by Hohnen because of its gravelly soils, which are good for viticulture. They are free draining and have a high mineral content. Winemaker Rob Mann, who was hosting my visit, pointed out that you can spot good potential vineyard land by the type of eucalyptus that grows there. If you see redgums, also known as the Western Australian Marri, then its a good sign, because the Marri likes free-draining soils. If you see Karri and blackbud eucalypts, then beware, because these are an indicator of bad soils. There’s a lot of winter rain here and grapevines don’t like wet feet. pass4sure 640-721 pass4sure 000-085 pass4sure 117-102 pass4sure 642-611 |

Indeed the approach to flavours in all courses is a French-style subtlety allowing neither wine nor food to dominate. We both select the option of dishes paired with wine. The Local opts for the winter menu. This consists of four courses selected by the chef (R250). I go for the four course menu where you do have limited options at each stage (R400). The pre-dessert is an extra course on the four course menu. You are not directly billed for it. One vegetarian starter and main on this purposely limited menu. You can also go the whole hog: the eight course tasting menu with wine at R775 is only available if the whole table selects it. While not dismissing the art of matching food and wine, when the dishes are this good it is easy to forget to sip your wine, consigning drinking to before and after each course. Call me uncultured. Today I’ve never been happier so. pass4sure 1z0-053 pass4sure 650-393 pass4sure 312-50 pass4sure E20-501 |

When I visited, the 2007 vintage had recently been harvested, and the wines were already taking shape, having completed their primary fermentation. Rob explained that the difficult 2006 vintage, which was unseasonally cool, had a knock-on effect for 2007: if the previous spring is cool there is poor initiation of bunches in the buds (each bud contains next year’s potential flowers and thus grape bunches), which then affects the following season’s fruit set. Combined with the dry spring and summer in 2007, this meant that there wasn’t a lot of weight in the bunches so yields were down. ‘We’re happy with quality in 2007’, says Rob, ‘we just don’t have enough wine.’ As an example, in the 1970 Cabernet block the yield for 2007 was 3 tons/acre as opposed to the normal 5 tons/acre. As well as the 1970 Cabernet vineyard, Cape Mentelle has three other vineyards, including 50 acres over the road planted in 1988, and sources fruit from a dozen growers. pass4sure 650-251 pass4sure NS0-153 pass4sure 646-046 pass4sure NS0-163 |

A charmingly rustic restaurant named after the 400 strong herd of goats on the Fairview estate. Their cheese, which includes speciality cheeses such as chevin (with garlic and parsley or sun-dried tomato and basil) and Boland Blue, a fusion of cheddar and blue-veined cheese, and the impressive range of home baked breads are the main draw but they offer a range of Mediterranean-style cooked dishes as well. Try the Agostinelli range of wines which are based on Italian varietals. ---------------------- pass4sure SK0-002 pass4sure 117-101 pass4sure 642-661 pass4sure 646-656 |

After reading the review of the LG 42SL9000, I decided to go out and buy it. But now I've got it connected, I got 3 questions:
1. I've got an external HDD loaded with MKV movies that are encoded with DTS sound. When I connect this HDD and select the approporiate file/movie, the image plays back fine, but the audio isn't recognized/supported. I've also connected the Logitech Z-5500 through the optical-out, but still no sound. Does anyone know a way to playback the sound through the TV without any external devices and is there a way to just put the sound straight through the optical out and let whichever device is connected do the decoding? 2. Does anyone know the difference between the 9000 and 9500? On most images I find on the internet, the border looks completely black, while my version has a silver edge at the bottom, which I find extremely ugly and distracting. Here are 2 pictures to show you what I'm talking about: -http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/image/hdtv/LG-42SL9000/42sl9000.jpg -http://www.mobilen.no/photoalbum/view2/P3NpemU9bWVkaXVtMyZpZD0zMDU1MzM 3. Where can I find a list with the calibration settings used in this review: http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/lg-42sl9000-42sl9500-20100409261.htm Thanks in advance. ![]() |

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me?
I have a Viera TX-P42G15B, which is connected to my wireless router via a home plug network. My PC is running Windows XP Home edition, and I have Windows Media Player v11. I know I can use the TV to view files stored on my TV, but am not sure how to set it up. The manual mentions Twonky Media Server which is software I need to download and install on my PC, but I need a licence key after 30 days and don't know where to get one. I've also come across some forums that recommend I don't use the Twonky software. I've read that Windows Media Player can act as a Media Server if set to share files. If I turn this on, will I be able to access the stuff on the PC via my Panny Viera when I switch it to Viera Cast Media mode, or is it more complicated than that?!! Any info on how to get this up and running will be greatly apprecited!! Regards, Kevin ![]() |
