I'd like to get the sound working through my Sony 5.1 DVD player but am unsure how to link it to the TV. It's currently linked to a Humax PVR that is linked to the TV, I can play sound via the Humax but it's slightly out of sync with TV, hence my query about a component lead. Am I right in thinking that a 5 pin component lead into the DVD with a hdmi input directly into the TV will not work as the signal needs converting?
Are there any calibration settings available for set-up guidance?
On the topic of an alternative, any suggestions for a 32 or 37" Smart TV for movie/sport viewing?
