Thanks very much. I calibrated my TV to the settings you recommended and the picture has improved 100% using PC Mode.
Ive also noticed that when watching some programmes i get a thin  line down the screen. Very noticeable when watching Formula 1 on BBC HD.
Has any one else experienced this problem ?

Is this just in PC mode - or any mode.

Just wondering if you used a meter to obtain your results? :)

I didn't try this adjustment yet but, even raising the backlight value to the maximum (+16) with another suggested configuration, I see the [Movie] preset too dark, don't you?. I think it is not a problem with my eyes  :) because in my old CRT TV set I always kept the bright value quite low. Maybe the defaulting bright and unreal colors that this TV presents in the rest of the presets got me confused and now I'm not able to see what is accurate to reality  :'(
