Surprised there's been no further posts on here since the 3k price reduction to 4999, nobody tempted at that price then? I'd consider one if it was 3500 but 4999 is still too rich for me, especially considering it's 1080p.

Oh and hi and happy new year everyone :)

Happy new to you to Andy, I can see Oled dropping like a stone as IMO they will not sell well at those prices, especially with the issues they have. For the right tv when I upgrade I won't/can't pay more than 2K but even then it would have to be basically fault free. Still got my D6900 albeit with a new panel, Barry has the same fault now that's crept up. Its not perfect with a bit of DSE etc but it produces a damn fine picture most of the time  :).

This tv is now eur 4000 at our local store. This is an acceptable price. Maybe i'll take a small gamble and pick one up.

Not so much of a gamble if it comes with 5 year warranty.  ;)

Warmest regards

Yeah, they have a slightly rebadged model for 2014 with another price cut.
It becomes a better deal, since the top-end LCD prices went sky high.

I have a client who's just bought one of these. Although he's reporting seeing a number of lazy subpixels these aren't visible with normal viewing material. In any case, I can't wait for the calibration! It's surely what Klein K10s were made for!  ;D

In the Netherlands all products have life long (product life)  warranty. Sometimes a hassle to get it, but still worth it ;)

If I hadn't bought a GT60 a few months ago, I might consider buying an oled. I wouldn't buy one without a proper BFI mode though, I hope LG adds this feature to its next range. I'm curious about Panasonic & Sony using LG woled displays as well (not sure if the news was reported here, here's the link: http://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1398328440 ).
