No fancy dress is needed when you're 6'3", just look for the guy who's head is cut off the top of the screen ;)

It's in my backpack! The clean clothes can get lost if they must, but the Klein K-10... it would, eh, not be okay if that went missing!

Hey everyone!

Yes, landed today. My plan of waking up at 5pm in the UK, getting to the airport, then falling asleep on the 8 hour flight worked perfectly. Result: what's actually 3pm in New York feels like early morning to my body clock!

So, after British Airways messed up and told us the wrong terminal, I found Robert Zohn and he showed me around Value Electronics. It's a lovely store, family run. When you say "New York" to most people in the UK, we naturally think of Manhattan and skyscrapers, but Robert's store is actually in Westchester, which is maybe 15-20 miles outside of Manhattan. It's a beautiful leafy place where you can leave your car trunk (boot!) unlocked without worrying about things getting stolen from it!

Will post a picture once I download USB drivers to this laptop.

BTW, regarding all of this thread deleting on other sites: I've moved those posts into a separate thread, because I don't like the idea of deleting them (censorship!), but also think that people reading the 2012 shootout thread will want to know about the shootout first and foremost, rather than some silly forum politics. So, if you'd like to read that separate fork of discussion, you'll know where to look :)

See you all soon. The calibrations begin tomorrow. Can't wait for the event!
