How to find an ISF or THX calibrator
« on: 22 June 2012, 07:11:45 PM »

What's the difference between ISF and THX?

From the point of view of someone wanting their display calibrated, not a great deal. Some claim that one is stricter than the other in who it passes, but I've not gone through THX approval (yet?), only ISF, so can't say. The goal of both is to calibrate your display to industry mastering standards for the best possible picture quality. Some calibrators have passed both the ISF and THX classes and have both qualifications.
