ST60 will be available in 42, 50 & 55 inches in the UK. No 65" due to lower sales last year.

Did you mean no 60"..? :)

(According to http://www.panasonic.net/avc/viera/eu2013_plasma/index.html there should be a 65" ST, but no 60" ST..?)

I'm sure David or Vincent will clarify that one. :)

We're about to publish an article on that very subject.

No 65" ST is what we heard. That's only in the UK BTW. Other European countries are getting the full sizes for ST.

What's interesting is that the European ST series has a much nicer design than the US version, which is very plain. The design between the Euro ST and GT series appear to be identical.

Rather strange comment on European ST60 series:

You'd better printscreen that discussion before it's too late...

David i read your post in Highdefinitionjunkies...tell us about the scaling part, it's like samsung now? I had a D550 but i returned for "brightness pops" on PES 2012 and FIFA was terrible...but definitely the scaling is better than my GT50.

Ok. The link I was looking at is for "Europe" in general ;)

Interesting marketing... Though, there's probably a reason for it.

Even if the designs of the European ST and GT are identical, they look very nice :)
Also, it's probably a good way to cut the costs - and if that plays a part in them being able to release a new ZT60 PDP which might be less profitable but which can truly reign in terms of PQ - a new "Kuro", so to speak - then that's OK by me!

I am sooooooo looking forward to this years PDP-reviews! And OLED! And the Shootout! :P

Yes, the scaling is now Samsung-esque. It's kind of hard to tell when the TVs are running in Dynamic mode with sharpness up so high (although the latter part actually helps reveal changes in scaling).

Do you have a picture of the GT60 or ST60? On the Panasonic viera page the US and EU version design looks very similar.

Any idea when these will be first on sale? And how soon before the first reviews will happen? Was about to buy 2012 panny but now I might have to wait. . .
