The biggest memory of VHS for me was when my Dad got a knock of copy of Pinocchio.
I wanted to see it asap so rammed it into VHS player to find it was a horror movie at the start of some dude having his face sucked down a plug hole by a pink blob before fizzing to the movie I wanted to see.
I had nightmares for a week after that. :'(
That sounds like a description of the remake of The Blob, i'd like to buy that on blu ray.

I think TT are releasing it. :)
So expensive, 25.50 minimum.  :bash:

My dad had a Mitsubishi HS-B82:



It was SVHS as well and played NTSC VHS (badly). There were a whole bunch of dials and knobs on the dropdown panel which affected the picture and I'd always adjust them to see what they did.
