Wall mount sony w7/8
« on: 25 November 2014, 06:48:20 PM »

Hello,
I have understood that the foot of the w7 and 8 series doubles as a wall mount. On pictures I can see how it works and it seems to me that this a very static way to mount this tv on the wall. Is there also a way to fix it differently, in a way that you can move it/ turn it / twist it a little?
Thanks,
Rob

Hi, Rob!
As far as I know, these Sony TVs are incompatible with standard VESA wall mounts. Their original stand is the only official option...
But look what I found on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/VESA-Adapter-Kit-Sony-W6/dp/B00LXP57IQ
You'd be able to use any adjustable VESA wall mount on Sony with this kit.

For VESA wall mounting sony slimdesign(w6/w7/w8 and new 2015 w series) there is 2 options  a simple screw kit adapter (Vogel kit)
or sony adapter su-wa1
For bigger tv>50" i think vogels screw kit is a lot better then sony suwa1  for better distribuited load and i presume less torsion on the thin frame  but you need a very large staff to accomodate tv like that used with plasma.
Su-WA1 original sony mount suit better on small tv 32/42 becouse fit well on little vesa mount
